Learning Reflection Statement:
As I developed and demonstrated academic proficiency across my degree and ministry experience, I have learned that God works with people who don’t deserve His grace and who constantly mess things up. Despite my sin and times of unfaithfulness, God has remained faithful and has poured out His blessings on my life. He has graciously continued to use me for His glory despite of myself. Everything good I could do or ever become is because of Him and I am so glad my Heavenly Father adopted a worm like me to be His child and has continued to use me for His glory though I am so underserving. A theme throughout my time at DTS has been God's grace which has strengthened my faith and is what I must give to others. I am so glad that the Lord met me where I was and sacrificed so much for me. He has adopted me into His family and through my cultural engagements, communications, and Christian Ministry I want to serve Him utilizing the way He has uniquely made me, through the way He has developed me and through the way He has told me to be in His word. God's invitation for people to be adopted eternally in to His family is what I believe to be the true definition of family ministry. The goal of the Christian educator is then to assist the parents to nurture the child before life becomes broken by sin. Family ministry also aims at the eradication of divorces, abortions, death, and the denying or work of the Son of God.
Lifelong Development Statement:
As a result of the academic experiences documented by these artifacts, I will continue to develop in Christian Education by learning new ways in which I can be a more effective teacher. I will continue to learn and will use Logos and read books that help me understand how to live right and how to attract others to Christ in ways that display His glorious majesty. I will continue to think about children and how fertile the soil is in the children's ministry. I hope that the Lord continues to improve my effectiveness for His Kingdom and gives me desires that I will follow to accomplish His purpose for my life. Until the Lord takes me home where there's no tears, sorrow, illness, pain or death, my hope is to keep improving in holiness and knowledge.
